MobiGage Archeology is an iPad/iPhone driver for the Nikon Archeology aSpace laser system. It is used to record archeological site plans using aSpace lasers. aSpace is a metrology system that can greatly reduce archeological drawing and data-gathering times. It uses patented laser technology to quickly make probe measurements within a large working area. Rapid data capture grabbing single point data (spot heights, find locations, etc) are possible as well as streaming point data, 3d coordinates are acquired at a rate of up to 40 points per second. The geo-referenced data can be reviewed using an iPad/iPhone with MobiGage Archeology.

"Archeological Recording Made Easy"
Trials have shown data-gathering times are 50%-90% faster than traditional drawing methods. aSpace with MobiGage is an industrially-proven metrology system that significantly reduces archeological drawing and data-gathering times. Less time is spent drawing and acquiring point coordinates, the duration of commercial excavations can be reduced and the productivity of fixed-term research excavations can be raised considerably.

"Modular system with instant drawing display"
Archeology aSpace data is immediately available for viewing in a number of ways. The system also allows for 20 or more probes simultaneously recording data within the working area. The geo-referenced data is fed straight into a CAD or GIS package, or reviewed using an iPad/iPhone.

aSpace tools required: 3+ battery-powered transmitters, i5 or i6 LR probes, an iPad, iPod Touch or iPhone.
